beer and matrimony - non-traditional weddings at brewlab
we are big fans of a non-traditional wedding venue at the tasmanian wedding directory
So we sat down with Lesley, Brewlab’s General Manager, to chat about weddings at Brewlab.
What advice would you give to couples trying to find their perfect wedding venue?
Go with what feels right! I think the venue should speak to you & then the choice will be made!
We love Brewlab and think it’s such an epic wedding venue.
Good beer, good vibes, dog friendly! What else should couples know?
Providing personalised service is our upmost priority. At Brewlab, we want everyone walking in feeling like they are in their own big beautiful home.
"Relax & enjoy yourselves in good company"
This sets up apart from the other venues.
Do couples need to hire out all of Brewlab if they want to hold their wedding there?
We recommend this for the best outcome on the day. Having the whole venue to yourself is something pretty special!
How far in advance do couples need to book?
Another positive of being a non-traditional wedding venue is that we can work with relatively short lead times! We would suggest a minimum of at least 4 weeks notice for a full venue book out (this also gives you plenty of time to get the legal side of things sorted with a celebrant).
Do you provide catering, or do couples need to source a caterer?
Another positive - we provide all catering in house!
You will see lots of options on our functions pack, on the website. We can provide a quote for any other style/type of catering upon request. The world is your oyster!
Cakes or sweets can be brought in. We charge $50 cakeage.
Last but not least, what advice would you give to a couple planning their dream Tasmanian wedding?
Our island home is so unique, rugged & raw! We tried to include some of these elements in our design of Brewlab. My advice would be to be prepared for frequent weather changes!
